Bioplastics are plastics made from renewable biomass sources, such as vegetable fats and oils, corn starch and many more. How do those renewable and biodegradable polymers (plastics) compare with conventional plastics? During this evening we will discuss this, microplastics and "plastic bashing".

Plastics are nowadays essential in daily life. However, in around decade, we have jumped from « the plastic is fantastic » to an uncontrolled « plastic-bashing ». Although this huge problem is mainly linked to the behavior of each citizen, Science can bring now some answers.
