We enjoy birds singing in our garden or coming across a small plant flourishing on the sidewalk. But how do these plants and animals manage to live in these often highly urbanised areas? What challenges do they face, and what strategies help them adapt? With two scientists we will explore urban biodiversity from different angles and make you see - and hear - the urban (wild) life with other eyes and ears!

Are species adapting to urban environments?
Aude Caizergue
(Post-doctorante à l'Université de Montpellier)
Urbanization is driving tremendous environmental changes and presents both challenges and new opportunities for species. Wildlife must adapt and overcome the challenges of this urban jungle to survive. From birds to plants, this presentation explores how species respond to urbanization and how it shapes their evolution.

The Beauty and Perils of Birds Singing Amid Noise
Michela Busana
(Postdoctoral researcher at FRB-CESAB (French Foundation for Biodiversity Research))
Let's explore the beauty and diversity of bird songs, the unique challenges they encounter in urban environments, and the impact these sounds have on human well-being. Join us on a journey through a variety of sounds and uncover the challenges faced by both birds and humans in noisy urban settings
